ChatVibes Toolbar is a suspicious browser extension which appears to represent the services of chatvibes.com and instead promotes the services and products of Conduit Ltd. The web page has been inactive for years, probably since 2011; however, you are offered to install a toolbar from chatvibescom.ourtoolbar.com. This page is managed by Conduit, a company which is infamous for recycling trusted software names to present alternative browser extensions which, in most cases, are useless and undesirable. A few other programs which have been created on the Conduit platform include ConnectSo Toolbar and Quizulous Toolbar. Even though these applications are meant to serve differently, our malware researchers have found out that you can get rid of them in the same way that you can delete ChatVibes Toolbar.

Delete from Windows XP:

  1. Open the Start menu and select Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.

Delete from Windows Vista & Windows 7:

  1. Click the icon on the left of the Task Bar to open the Start menu.
  2. Open the Control Panel and then go to Uninstall a program.

Delete from Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Open the browser and click the search provider icon on the search box (top-right corner of the page).
  2. From the appeared menu select Manage Search Engines and locate the undesirable search provider.
  3. Remove ChatVibes.com Customized Web Search and click OK.
  4. Simultaneously tap Alt+T on the keyboard to open the Tools menu and select Options.
  5. Click the General tab, overwrite/remove the Home Page URL and click OK.
  6. Now simultaneously tap Ctrl+Shift+A to open the Add-ons Manager in the new tab.
  7. Click Extensions, locate the undesirable plugin and click Remove.

Delete from Internet Explorer:

  1. Open the browser, simultaneously tap Alt+T (Tools menu) and select Manage Add-ons.
  2. From the menu on the left select Search Providers and Remove the undesirable search tool. Click Close.
  3. Simultaneously tap Alt+T to open the Tools menu once more and click Internet Options.
  4. Click the General tab, overwrite/remove the Home Page URL and click OK.

Delete from Google Chrome:

  1. Open the browser, simultaneously tap Alt+F and select Settings.
  2. Navigate to On Startup and mark Open a specific page or set of pages.
  3. Click Set pages and overwrite/remove the undesirable search tool. Click OK.
  4. Navigate to Appearance and mark Show Home button.
  5. Click Change and overwrite/remove the URL representing the undesirable option. Click OK.
  6. Navigate to Search, click Manage search engines and apply a new default search provider.
  7. Click X on the URL of the set default search engine to remove it.
  8. Move to the top-left of the page and select Extensions (menu on the left).
  9. Click the recycle bin on the right of the undesirable plugin (ChatVibes Toolbar) and select Remove.
