Wizzscreenmode is an adware program similar to WizzWifiHotspot. These programs sound like something funky and neat, but in reality, they are nothing but annoying pieces of software that do not work properly. For the most part, they promote some kind of function that you could easily live without. Not to mention that such programs often come to the target system uninvited, so there is no need to tolerate them any further. Remove Wizzscreenmode from your system and save yourself the trouble of dealing with potential security issues this adware may bring about.
One of the most ambiguous things about such adware applications is that they cannot be considered malicious infections. Why? They do not enter systems surreptitiously. In other words, users install them willingly, even if they are not aware of that! For example, you may download Wizzscreenmode from wizzscreenmode.wizzproducts.com, but we do not believe that you stumble across such websites every single day, now do you? So you would be right to say that you did not intent to have this application installed. And YET, it is very likely that you initiated the installation yourself when you downloaded from freeware app from a file-sharing website.
Our research shows that Wizzscreenmode usually spreads around in bundled packages, so the chances are that it entered your system with a few other freeware applications. This does not mean that your personal information and you computer’s security are at great stake. At least not until the program gets misused by a malevolent third party. But even so, you should not take any chances.
How does third-party advertising work? To put it simply, Wizzscreenmode needs money to survive. Since the application is available free of charge, it needs some other method to cover its development cost. Thus, it provides space for third-party advertising and uses the pay-per-click system to make money. Each time you click an ad delivered to you by this program, you help the people behind it make money (no matter how small the amount might be). The downside of this system is that you get nothing in return, and quite often the sites you get redirected to are unreliable.
According to the program’s privacy policy, they “have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.” Thus, they do not really review what kinds of links get embedded in the pop-up ads. Although the possibility is very small, you cannot rule out the chance of getting infected with malware via third-party websites. Hence, to protect your computer and your personal information from any potential harm, you have to get rid of unwanted applications the moment you notice them.
Thankfully, it is not that hard to terminate Wizzscreenmode. All you have to do is uninstall the application via Control Panel. If you think that some files might remain on your system even after you uninstall the program, you can always scan your PC with the SpyHunter free scanner. This way, you will be sure that no other threats are hiding in your system.
