Giftssoft is and adware application, based on the JustPlugIt engine. Similarly to the other examples of this family, like RighCoupon or RealDeal, this adware with a semi-randomly generated name settles in on your computer as an Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome extension, showing various pop-up ads, banners, and coupons in an effort to make you click them, redirecting you to third-party websites that might be unsafe to browse. Giftssoft is known to be distributed mainly through InstallRex installer. You can also sometimes get it by using Amonetize and Vittalia installers. All you have to do is click fake download links in torrent or other peer-to-peer download websites, though other sources aren't out of the question. These programs typically work by offering to install an additional bundle of software together with legitimate freeware. Quite often, the contents of the bundle are not very useful at all and they are annoying as well. Giftssoft Removal

Windows XP:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select and click Control Panel.
3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
4. Select Giftssoft on the list of programs and click the Remove button.

Windows 7 and Vista:

1. Click the Windows button to access the Start menu.
2. Select Control Panel.
3. Click Uninstall a program.
4. Right-click on Giftssoft and click Remove.

Windows 8

1. Right-click the bottom left corner of your Deskop.
2. Find and click Control Panel in the pop-up.
3. Click Uninstall a program.
4. Select Giftssoft.
5. Click the Uninstall button.

NOTE: If you are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, Giftssoft might still be on your computer. To check and remove it if still there, follow the steps below.

Mozilla Firefox

1. While in the Firefox window, press Ctrl+Shift+A on your keyboard.
2. Click on Extensions.
3. Remove Giftssoft from Extensions.

Google Chrome

1. Press Alt+F on your keyboard and select More tools.
2. Go to Extensions, click it.
3. Find Giftssoft in the list of extensions, and click the Trash bin next to it to delete it.
