Fake security notifications are perpetual hangers-on of rogue antispyware products, and you can never avoid them whenever you are infected by this type of computer threats. “Warning! Spambot detected” is one of these fake alerts, and it usually shows up on your screen when you are infected by Smart Anti-Malware Protection or any other rogue from the Rogue.VirusDoctor family.
Here’s what the fake alert says:
Warring SPAM bot detected
Attention! A spambot sending viruses to your e-mail contacts has been detected on your PC.
Total infected mails sent: 34
Yes, protect my PC and remove spambot now (recommended)
Now, just because it says “recommended” you are not supposed to follow these instructions. Judging from the poor spelling on the notification, the creators of the rogue were really in a hurry to create the malicious program, and it only adds up to the fact that no good can be expected from it. The reason why you cannot click on this message is that after clicking you would find yourself at a rogue’s purchase page. The reason why rogue antispyware applications infect your computer is money. Rogues want to rip you of, and “Warning! Spambot detected!” fake security message only helps the computer threats in achieving it.
To set yourself free of this annoying message, you need to click on the rogue’s Registration button (at the top right corner) and enter this serial number:
U2FD-S2LA-H4KA-UEPB
This, however, should not make you believe that you have obliterated the computer threat. The “registration” of the rogue only stops the “Warning! Spambot detected!” fake security message from appearing. If you want to have a clean computer again, you need to get yourself a powerful computer safeguard tool and remove Smart Anti-Malware Protection or any other rogue that is causing this fake security notification to appear immediately.
