The developers behind Cloud AV 2012 and AV Security 2012 have been hard at work with their latest clone release, AV Secure 2012. This rogue antispyware application was designed to rip PC owners off. Although it will do everything in its power to make its victims believe that it is in fact a genuine security tool, AV Secure 2012 has no ability to detect or remove any type of threat from the system.

This rogue makes use of the same interface as its forbearers, and it seems its developers only changed the name of the application but nothing else. AV Secure 2012 will pretend to be able to scan the PC for privacy issues, the system’s firewall and will pretend to update the user on the system’s overall status. Essentially this scan is only an empty shell unable to do anything except annoy the user. It will start a fake security scan of the system as soon as the user logs on to Windows.

This fake scan will inform the user that his PC is being overrun by various fake security threats and the only way to get rid of these fake threats will be to pay for an AV Secure 2012 license. It will start spamming the user with the following falsely generated security alerts too:

Warning! Infection found
Unwanted software (malware) or tracking cookies have been found during last scan. It is highly recommended to remove it from your computer.
Keylogger Zeus was detected and put in quarantine.
Keylogger Zeus is a very dangerous software used by criminals to steal personal data such as credit card information, access to banking accounts, passwords to social networks and e-mails

The user will be unable to launch applications on the infected PC as well as find that his internet connection has been blocked. Poor system performance and rapidly increasing erratic system behavior will also be a direct result of the AV Secure 2012 infection. Users infected with AV Secure 2012 have also complained about randomly generated and deleted Desktop items. The rogue does this so as to further confuse the user and any installed security software.

It might be possible to disable the severe effects of this rogue by entering the following activation keys into the rogue:

2285876582

In order to limit the damage this rogue will cause to your PC destroy AV Secure 2012 with the help of a powerful security tool. This will not only permanently get rid of AV Secure 2012 but will also protect your PC against similar attacks in future.
