Interpol Departament of Cybercrime Virus is yet another version of the Ukash ransomware. It infects target computer and then locks the desktop, displaying a worrying message that spreads all over the screen. It says:

Your PC is blocked due to at least one of the reasons specified below.

You have been violating <<Copyright and Related Right Law>> (Video, Music, Software) and illegally using or distributing copyrighted content, thus infringing Article 128 of the Criminal Code of World Department of Cybercrime.

Article 128 of the Criminal Code provides for a fine of 2 to 5 hundred minimal wages or a deprivation of liberty for 2 to 8 years.

Article 202 of the Criminal Code provides for a fine of up to €100,000/£100,000 and/or a deprivation of liberty for 4 to 9 years.

And so on and so forth. Users who are not keen on reading everything carefully might not notice an obvious spelling mistake in "Interpol Departament of Cybercrime". It is a glaring mistake that should help the users to tell this ransomware apart from genuine programs. Unfortunately, due to its aggressive nature Interpol Departament of Cybercrime Virus is successful in convincing users that it is the real deal and so they fall into the trap.
