Slovenská Polícia Virus represents the newest sub-group of ransomware applications, considering its interface. There are quite a few new infections that share the same interface only the messages are presented in different languages. Slovenská Polícia Virus, obviously, is displaying the fake security notification in Slovak language, and it usually infects users that have Slovakian IP addresses. Slovenská Polícia Virus is not created by Slovakian cyber criminals. Rather than that, it belongs to a huge group of ransomware infections that all come from the same source.
Aside from Slovenská Polícia Virus, Ukash virus group is notorious for such infections as FBI MoneyPak, Türk Polisi virus, Europol Ransomware Virus and other similar ransomware applications that lock users out of their computers and demand a ransom fee. Just like its counterparts Slovenská Polícia Virus claims that the user's computer has been locked due to illegal activity, and the user has to face the criminal charges or pay the ransom fee. At least that's what the message says, but you have to keep in mind, that Slovenská Polícia Virus cannot be trusted:
Slovenská Polícia Virus
Oddelenia pre boj proti počitačovej kriminaliteVaš počitač je zablokovany!
Všetky operacie vykonavane na počitači, zaznamenane. Ak poučivate webove kamery, video a fotografie uložene na identifikaciu.
Vyška pokuty 100 Euro. Platba musi byt vykonana na dobu až 48 hodin po objaveni porušenie.
Ak se pokuta nebude zaplatena, budete autmaticky na trestne veci.
Basically Slovenská Polícia Virus tries to convince you that you have committed a criminal offense related to illegal obtaining and storing of copyrighted material. Thus, the message claims that you have to pay 100 euro within 48 hours, or else all the data on your "crime" will be pass forward to the law enforcement establishment. A lot of users get scared when they see this message displayed across their screen, so they end up paying the money.
However, your money is the thing that Slovenská Polícia Virus wants, and you should NEVER pay a single cent, because your computer will not be unlocked and the infection will prevail. The only way to solve this problem is to remove Slovenská Polícia Virus for good.
