Undeaddies Toolbar might appear to be an exciting application that features a clean toolbar and a built-in mini zombie game. However, we are obliged to inform you that it is bad toolbar that should not be trusted, and we recommend that you remove it. No matter how fun you may find the game or how useful its functions may appear, it may pose as significant threat to your system’s security.
Undeaddies Toolbar has been developed for the Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox. It can be downloaded directly from the Chrome Web Store for Google Chrome. As far as other browsers are concerned, it is known to be distributed via freeware bundles. Upon installation, Undeaddies Toolbar is automatically enabled and overwrites the existing search engine, homepage, and new tab page with its own version of Ask.com. Undeaddies Toolbar alters the search results of Ask.com and presents its sponsored links. Even though no infected links were discovered, a possible infection is very real. Therefore, we advise users to remove Undeaddies Toolbar as an untrustworthy application that might jeopardize their system’s security.
The main website also features shortcuts to various popular websites, such as Facebook, Ebay, Gmail, and so on. Research has shown that these shortcuts contain no added-payload, and thus, may be considered safe. It also features a list of your recent searches via its version of Ask.com that you can remove if you wish. Furthermore, it features a dedicated Facebook tool that is set to display notifications. However, we encourage you not to use this program and especially its Facebook alert tool, because it might be used to steal your password, and thus, you should remove it.
In addition, Undeaddies Toolbar features a button called Zombifier that redirects you to a website called Festivebar.com, which features a lot of games and links to other potentially unreliable websites. It is difficult to determine whether this application might infect your computer with malware, but one thing’s for sure, you cannot trust its search engine, because there is no way of knowing where you might be redirected.
All in all, the reliability of this application is questionable to say the least. Even though Undeaddies Toolbar is advertised and can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store that doesn’t make it 100% safe. Its supposed tools are of little use since you can make custom shortcuts to your favorite websites yourself. Its Facebook alert tool should also not to be trusted since it might reveal your password to third parties. All things considered, it would be best to remove Undeaddies Toolbar.
