GuardPcs
Trojan-based infections are spreading rapidly on the Internet and are targeting vulnerable computers every day, all over the world. GuardPcs is exactly this type of computer program. It imitates an effective and genuine security tool. However, this is an intruder and its one and only aim is to trick more and more users into thinking there are serious problems with their machines. At the same time, the application presents itself as a legitimate AV tool able to detect infected files and system errors and scan your computer for viruses. The truth is that GuardPcs cannot help you and protect your computer. It will take your money and put the machine in real danger.
To enter the system GuardPcs also uses deceitful methods. It waits for you to visit some compromised web page which contains an interesting video. If you try to watch the video, this will turn out to be impossible unless you install some codec or update some of your applications. If you agree to download the specific codec, this will automatically transfer malicious files to your PC. You will not be asked if you agree or not. Also, you will not been alarmed about the attack of the computer virus. When GuardPcs is on your machine, it will start displaying pop-up messages and fake scan reports. All of them will be aimed at misleading you into thinking your PC is in serious trouble, and it needs to be fixed immediately.
Do not be tricked by these empty threats and remember that this application is not able to fix your machine. To protect your PC from malicious files, remove the intruder as soon as possible. Also, avoid visiting suspicious web pages and downloading unknown files.
IGuardPc
